Calming Horse Treats, Natural Support for Nervous and Excitable Horses
Calming horse treats give you a simple, palatable way to help settle a nervous or excitable horse around the moments that unsettle them. Ours are made in our HACCP-certified kitchen on the Sunshine Coast, using natural functional ingredients and no added molasses or refined sugar.
When owners reach for them
Float and truck trips, farrier and vet visits, clipping, competition warm-up, new environments, and windy days are the classic flashpoints. A calming treat is an easy, low-stress way to reward and reassure your horse through them. They are not a sedative and they are not a substitute for training or good management, they are a gentle helper that fits into what you already do.
What's in them
Our calming horse treats use natural ingredients traditionally associated with relaxation, such as chamomile and magnesium, in a tasty bite-sized form horses actually want to eat. They are naturally flavoured and free from artificial colours and preservatives. If your horse has ongoing anxiety, or you are managing behaviour alongside a health issue, have a chat with your Australian vet about what suits your horse, and remember that some competition bodies also have rules about supplement ingredients.
What's in the range
- Calm O's, daily-use calming treats for routine support.
- Bite-sized rewards for float trips, farrier visits and stressful moments.
- Sugar-free options for horses watching their sugar intake (see our sugar free horse treats).
Using them well
Give a calming treat a little before the stressful moment rather than in the middle of it, so your horse has time to settle. They pair naturally with groundwork and patient handling. For everyday rewarding and training, our horse training treats are the smaller, plainer option, and you can see the full horse treats range for everything else.
